THE former vice-chairman of Livingston Development Corporation, Councillor Brian Meek (65), died on Monday, August 2, following a six-month battle with leukaemia.
Councillor Meek, a former convener of Lothian Regional Council, played a key role in bringing Meadowbank Thistle to Almondvale Stadium in Livingston in November 1995.
