Livi’s third season in the SPL is underway, and both our records of never being beaten on the opening day of the season and never losing to Partick in the league are intact. And although a score draw at Firhill may not be the most thrilling of starts to the campaign, it was good see us fighting for the point.

Marcio has instilled an attacking mentally into the team, which over the course of the season, should see us picking up points in games where we would have lost them in previous years,

Our new signings are settling in well, McGovern and Whitmore both look like being key players, as does the fit Pasquenelli, who has already proved he knows the way to goal.

The addition of Brian Kerr from Newcastle not only strengthens our midfield, but highlights out ambition and growing stature as a serious club, as we were chosen over four other clubs to land the highly rated U21star.

Our links with Newcastle and Manchester United can only make us a better club in the long run. And, hopefully, it way start making a few of the journalists who see has the wee diddy team with the fairytale are in fact and SPL reality in a better position than the clubs that they do choose to praise every week.
