The St Johnstone horror game................

Why did it all go so horribly wrong for the Lions against St Johnstone?

The truth is that Saints were the better team on the day. Maybe we were missing skipper Stuart Lovell too much, or maybe it was because the Livi players were expecting to win the game in a canter.

But give the Perth men credit. They have shown the rest of the SPL, especially Hibs, that they aren't for the drop just yet.

Livi's upcoming games with Dunfermline and Hibs will probably make or break our chances of making a memorable entry into our first European adventure.

A Uefa Cup place would be a dream come true for the fans, but we have to remember that if we don't make it, then our season won't have been a failure.

To have come this far in such a short time is something Scottish football didn't expect, and proved a lot of people wrong.
