TABLOID 14 JUN - Kachloul's unjust deserts hit Almondvale

Kachloul's relatives, yesterday
Following the recent (and ongoing) controversy surrounding Livi striker Hassan Kachloul, Almondvale has now encountered a new North African problem.

As part of the work underway on repairing the pitch for next season, a large quantity of sand has been spread across the surface to improve drainage. However, the lure has proved irresistible for Kachloul’s homesick family, and they have now set-up tents near the north east corner as part of their nomadic culture.

This has proved a problem for ground staff as they are unable to continue seeding the park in that area due to the tents and camels. Head groundsman Colin Fraser yesterday spoke of his frustration EXCLUSIVELY to the Tabloid. “My lads just can’t get a thing done” he complained. “Their bloody camels keep spitting at us every time we go near, plus the women start all their high-pitched ‘la la la la la’ which just makes the camels even worse.”

“We have tried to come to some sort of arrangement”
Colin continued, “I even went for some of that milky sweet tea stuff and smoked one of those bubbly glass things, but I just couldn’t get through to them. We’ve offered them temporary accommodation in the Ramada Jarvis hotel, but it’s fallen on deaf ears.”

So what now for the pitch’s upgrade? Is it likely to be ready for next season?

“I’m told being nomads they won’t be here for too long, so with any luck we can get cracking sooner rather than later. I have to admit though, the camel dung has helped new growth immensely”,
mused Colin as he fingered a pack of grass seeds impatiently.

We contacted Lothian & Borders Police to see if there was anything legal that could be done to move the nomadic Moroccans on. “Being no law of trespass in
Scotland, there’s very little we can do” said spokesman PC Plum. “But there’s a huge disused sandpit near Breich which may interest them, so we’ll have a word.”
