Thu 17th - Daily Tabloid - MP shamed again

"Coooooooko"
Police swooped to arrest maverick MP George Galloway yesterday after growing bored with the time warped political antics of the veteran demonstrator.

Bizarre Sixties throwback Galloway, 72, taunted police with shouts of "ban the bomb!", "Make love not war" and crooned some old Bob Dylan sheite at the top of his voice until officers’ patience snapped.

The former Glasgow MP, who was forgotten by Scots who don’t give a toss about Westminster politics, was said to be "over joyed" to be on the front page of a newspaper again.

Galloway was arrested with a bunch of ranting refugee comrades from another era during an anti-nuclear demonstration on Monday.

Ignoring the fact that the nuclear arms race and the cold war ended 10 years ago, the sad bunch of CND veterans remained determined to blockad Faslane - a facility which indirectly provides work for thousands of Scots - to make an out dated point to an increasingly irrelevent debate.

Also arrested was publicity hungry professional martyr, Tommy Sheriden, who was unsure what the demo was about, but insisted upon being arrested anyway.

Despite trying to placate the authorities with cries of "Peace, man" police moved in swiftly to remove Galloway before a bunch of middle aged women managed to set up a pointless Peace Camp.

Typical man in the street, Ted Calder, 73, was infuriated by the demo. "They should send 'em back to bleeding bloody Russia," stormed the militant pensioner.

Recently dumped housewife Sandra Flaherty, 42, however, backed the demo with an incoherent rant. "Men are pigs" she snarled. "It doesn't matter whether they're making bombs or shagging the neighbours' slut of a daughter - they HAVE to be stopped making chaos in the world."
Adding; "They're ALL bassards!"

Galloway's one-man mission to keep dead Cold War politics alive was condemned by political and church leaders.

"How can the man who saluted the bravery of Saddam Hussein expect to be taken seriously anyway?" asked a church spokesman.

A defiant Galloway remained upbeat from his cell last night, promising to end the Vietnam war,

free Nelson Mandela and encourage irresponsible promiscuous sex "within weeks".

"All we are saying is give peace a chance," Galloway begged last night. Meanwhile, experts suggested last night that the chances of global thermonuclear war in the next few weeks remain "very low."
