A tough test awaits Alan Preston’s men on Sunday as Livi travel west to face Hearts at Tynecastle on SPL duty.
The Lions visit a Hearts side who were triumphant midweek against Portuguese side FC Braga. Livi’s confidence is low at the moment as the Jambo’s can’t seem to do anything wrong, so this as you can imagine it’a sure to be a tough and a stern test for Livi.
Previous games between the clubs have been pretty even although the Lions may just edge the most wins from the pair. Although Hearts had a tough game on their hand on Thursday, this result in Portugal is bound to have the home side fired up for Sundays clash.
Local Derby matches always produce some exiting stuff, end to end and some feisty challenges, but this game will be won and lost in the defence and unfortunately, Livi are struggling in this department at the moment.
Livi need to be fired up to claim all three points to avoid being plunged into the dreaded relegation zone, but in the end, I’d settle for a point.
Team News
Mark de Vries will be a doubt on Sunday as he could only face Braga in midweek by taking an pain relief injection.
Hearts midfielder Stephen Simmons is definitely out.
Livi have received a boost at the news that David McNamee returns from suspension.
Fellow defender Gus Bahoken also returns, but midfielders Steven Boyack and Richard Brittain face lengthy lay-offs.
