Aberdeen V Livingston Fanzine Preview

Last updated : 26 September 2003 By Dov

Livingston travel to Aberdeen on Saturday knowing that they will be facing an uphill struggle if they are to secure any points against the sheep lovers. The Lions have been rocked by the news that their influential defender, Marvellous Marvin Andrews could be sidelined for up to SIX WEEKS and he joins Stuart Lovell on the crocked, but the good news is that Manu Dorado is nearing full fitness.

The Lions will probably opt for their usual formation, which I will not disclose on the site in case Alcohol Man Paterson is looking for tips on the fanzine, but what I can tell him is that it is illegal to have your wicked way with sheep.

Davide Fernandez should partner Fernando Pasquinelli upfront, a partnership that is still to gel together, but once the do get to grips with one and other, then they will be one of the best SPL strikers in the league. The midfield line up will probably be the same on that played against Oueens Park on Tuesday night, Quino, Makel, O'Brien and on loan Newcastle player Brian Kerr. Livingston’s midfield has been quite poor this season, but thankfully not as bad as last season, so there has been a slight improvement. The only big change in Defence will see the big man miss out, but that may pave way for Dorado to step in, and although he is a different kind of player, he may just be the very man for the job, only time will tell. Roddy McKenzie should start in goals.

This is going to be a tough one for the Lions. Aberdeen’s strike partnership of Scott Booth and David Zdrilic are on fire at the moment, and it would be on of the biggest surprises of the day if Livingston leave Aberdeen without conceding a goal as their defence is as leaky as a sieve. What Livingston can’t do is lose an early goal, Aberdeen will take full advantage and will run out easy winners if this was to happen.

If on the other hand Livingston hold on, then maybe they can sneak a goal of two, but being realistic, a draw at the Sheep Stadium would probably be classed as a great result.
