Livingston face a trip to Hibernian at Easter Road Stadium on Saturday evening with near enough a full squad to pick from.
The most recent encounter between these two sides at Easter Road was less than a year ago, in April 2003, where the two teams cancelled each other out in an enthralling 2 - 2 draw in a Scottish Premier match.

Hibernian have managed to pick up just two wins from their last six home games, losing three, A total of 14 goals have been scored by the Hibees in those games, with 8 conceded.

Livingston have an average recent record on the road, picking up two good wins, but losing three, from the last six. While the Livi Lions have hit 11 goals, 15 have hit the back of the wrong net.

Hibernian see themselves just below half way in the Bank of Scotland Scottish Premier, showing a record of 11 points from their 8 games played so far, Livingston see themselves just below half way in the Bank of Scotland Scottish Premier, showing a record of 9 points from their 8 games played so far,

Livingston’s next away match sees the Lions travel the short distance to Edinburgh to face Hibernian. Livingston will be hoping to follow up on the 3-0 demolition of Aberdeen at Pittodrie when they make the away journey and they must be confident of picking up at least a point as the Hibees have had a mixed opening start to the season. Here’s Dov’s view of the opposition.

Easter Road, how have the Lions performed their in the past?

Last season saw the Lions lose once and draw once at Easter Road but the latter game must have been one of the most bizarre games I have ever been to. Livingston were totally outplayed for 88 minutes on the match and were 2-0 down, but in the two remaining minutes, goals from Barry Wilson and a screamer from Burton O’Brien made sure the Lions headed home with a point, and left the Hibs supporters as sick a parrot.

Can we better that result and grind out a win at Easter Road?

With the start to the season Hibs have had, anything is possible, but if we are to win this one, the Lions will all have to play as a strong unit, and make sure our defence is watertight, as Hibs will punish us the Lions defenders lose concentration. Hibs will still be on a high after their 9-0 demolition of Montrose, and although they got beat 2-1 at home to Celtic, they will still take a lot from that game.

Any players I should watch out for?

Tom McManus is a player that Livingston supporters love to hate, mainly because the Hibernian striker seems to lift his game against the Lions. He is Hibs longest serving player at only 22 and he finished last season as Hibs top scorer, so big Marv and company will have to keep tabs on him if we are looking to keep another away clean sheet.

What are Hibs ambitions this season?

Hibs finished 7th last season, 16 points ahead of Livingston in 9th but they finished seven points in front of 6h place Dundee and 5 points ahead of Livingston’s visitors today, Dunfermline Athletic. The league split confuses me more and more each day. The Hibees will be looking for a better start to the season, and will definitely be looking for a place along with Livingston in the top six.
What’s Easter Road like?

Easter Road is a modern stadium with a capacity of around 17,500. The stadium itself is around a 15-minute walk from where the supporter’s bus usually drops you off but there are loads of pubs on route, so you can pop into them if you start to weary on the way to the ground. Livingston supporters will be using the South Stand, and refreshments can be found in the serveries below where you can purchase a great choice of food and drink.
Are the Hibees supporters friendly?

Livingston supporters never usually encounter any bother with away supporters, and the Hibs supporters are no different. We have travelled to Easter Road on numerous occasions, and we have never once seen any bother, if fact, both sets of supporters usually mingle with each other in the Hibs supporters club before the match.
