Livi V Hibs - Jason & Many back in the reconing

Last updated : 04 November 2005 By Dov
Neil Barrett today
New additions to the "out" list this week are Derek Adams (injured) and Gabor Vincze (suspended for violent conduct duting the midweek reserves game but to be fair the guy he was miffed at had just deliberately stomped on his head report here ).

Meanwhile gaffer Paul Lambert ruled himself out saying he felt the lads were doing well without him and deserved to continue that way. He joked "I'll be staying in the heart attack area" (dugout) and anybody who watches him during a game will know exactly what he means.

He continued: "We could have won all 3 of our last games, the chances were there. We have hunger and desire in the aquad right now which is great."

With Paul today was Neil Barrett who was quick to back his bosses outlook: "We go into every game to win. The team spirit, even when we haven't been doing so well has been fantastic. Training is always lively and that carries through into the game each Saturday. If we play the way I know we can then we can win."

History of the Livingston v Hibernian fixture

Livingston prepare to entertain Hibernian at Almondvale Stadium on Saturday afternoon, looking to improve on a dire past record against their opponents.

It does not make pleasant reading, beating their opponents 3 times from 7 games.

The most recent encounter between these two sides at Almondvale Stadium was less than a year ago, in January 2005, as the visitors ran out cosy 0-2 winners in a Scottish Premier match.

Recent respective form guides

Livingston have only collected 1 win and 3 draws from the last six home games played. While Livi have scored 6, a worringly large 13 have been leaked at the other end.

The away form of Hibernian however, is much more impressive, with a marvellous return of five wins and one defeat from the last six. The games have constituted a decent return of 12 goals for the The Hibees, and 6 goals against.

Livingston find themselves stuck right at the bottom of the division. Their 13 games have yielded only 5 points. Hibernian are just outside the promotion places, in 3rd, having taken 28 points from 13 games.
