Livingston face to inbreeds tomorrow probably minus David Fernandez again, but the Lions have hardly missed the on-loan star during his absence with a hamstring injury. Fernando Pasquinelli and Derek Lilley have done superbly well in the last few matches, and the striking Duo will be raring to get at the Aberdeen defenders that will not include former Lion, Michael Hart. Hart has struggled to make an impact during his second spell at his beloved club, and he was dropped after gifting a goal to Pasquinelli during the Lions 3-0 win at Pittodrie in September.

Lee Makel, Stuart Lovell and Burton O’Brien will have to be on their toes to stop the on-form Stevie Tosh, who has been fired up for every match he plays against us since Jim Leishman foolishly let him leave in a free transfer. Tosh has been a breath of fresh air to the Pittodrie faithful, and he is already tipped to be their player of the year after a run of terrific displays.

The defence will see Marvin Andrews possibly be playing in one of his last matches for Livingston, as there has been renewed interest from several English clubs along with possibly some interest from Rangers. Oscar Rubio will start alongside him in the centre of defence. Dorado should get the nod after he was substituted at half time for Camacho during last weeks 3-0 win at Killie.

McAllister and McNamee will be playing in their usual wing back positions, and David McNamee was outstanding last week, tormenting the Killie players with his lung bursting runs, and more of the same is required if the Lions are to take anything out of the match.

Roddy McKenzie will again be between the sticks, but Alan Main is just waiting on the sidelines for the former Hearts man to either make a mistake or pick up an injury, but McKenzie has been as solid as a rock in the Livi goal, so main will probably have to wait for Roddy to get injured before he gets his chance again.

The Lions have had great success against Aberdeen in cup and league business, but remarkably, despite Livi always managing to humiliate the ugly crew at their home patch, they have never defeated Aberdeen at Almondvale. Alan Preston is very confident going into this one, and knows it is only a matter of time before Livi get that important home win against the Dons.

He said: "It will be a tough game for us because we have never beaten them at home in the SPL. "We've beaten them in cup ties and at Pittodrie in the league but never at the City Stadium.

"Aberdeen don't have a great record at Pittodrie but Dundee United, Kilmarnock and ourselves also have not got great records at home. "Apart from probably the Old Firm, the other teams in the league seem to find it easier to hit on the break away from home.

"More often than not, the home team struggles at their own place because the onus is on them to attack and take risks. It seems to be a trend at the moment.

"We knocked Aberdeen out of the CIS Insurance Cup this season and we seem to be their bogey team in some ways. "But Kilmarnock were our bogey team and we put that to bed last week when we beat them.

"So, hopefully, we can do the same to Aberdeen on Saturday."

www.livifanzine.com prediction – A hard one for Livi, but we are full of confidence at the moment and shouldn’t fear an Aberdeen side that aren’t firing on all cylinders at the moment. Livingston 2 Aberdeen 1
