With ex Celtic striker Jamie Smith expected to return to his home country after his family failed to settle in Holland, the Eredivisie outfit have targeted the young stopper to keep up their Scottish contingent.

The 24-year-old has been watched on several occasions by ADO scouts, most recently in Saturday's game against Dunfermline where coach Frans Adelaar as well as director Robert Langenbach were present.

The club are looking for a new right back after on-loan Feyenoord stopper Gill Swerts decided to sign for Vitesse Arnhem.

Meanwhile, Dunfermline have appointed Jim "the tool" Leishman as their new manager.

Leishman will take charge of The Pars until the end of the season as they fight to avoid relegation from The SPL.
