Brown set to be new Livi Manager

Following the sensational axing of Allan Preston as Livi team manager, the rumour mill has gone into overdrive regarding his successor. Already former Rangers and Scotland stalwart Richard Gough’s name has been touted, however LiviUltras has received insider information suggesting that ‘Pa Broon’ may just pip Gough to the job.

Our source, who cannot be named for legal reasons, apparently overheard the Twins telling Horace whilst carting at Stoorie Brae, that Hen & Joe had seen Pa and his father, Grandpa Broon talking furtively with the Rovers manager in the street. If verified, this is will almost certainly lead to a career in football management for Pa, despite the fact he has no previous experience.

This dramatic development follows closely after Oor Wullie was made captain of the
Green Street team for Saturday evening fixture against the Gaswork Gang. If Wullie’s captaincy is a success, it is highly probable that he will take the armband from suspended Stuart Lovell as Pa Broon is a known admirer of the spikey-haired striker.

Neither Pa Broon nor Oor Wullie were available for comment last night, however close friend Fat Boab hinted that something was in the pipeline. “Help ma boab! Me tea’s nearly oot an’ it’s stovies the nicht - braw!” he told our reporter before running away.
