Dalglish desperate to stay.

Livingston striker Paul Dalglish is hoping his recent form will lead to a long-term contract at the Lions.

The striker joined the Lions in August, but his deal expires at the end of December, and the club have yet to offer the former Arsenal player a deal.

He proved his worth to the club by scoring the winner for the second time in a week as his stunning goal earned a 1-0 triumph over Dunfermline at East End Park.

That followed on from his extra time winner against Caledonian Rovers in the quarter finals of the CIS Insurance Cup.

Livingston boss Paul Lambert has yet to open talks over extending Dalglish's stay, but the 28-year-old is keen for a positive response.

Dalglish has admitted that he is desperate to stay

He said he wants to help the team see through the job that they started and hopefully his agent and Livingston FC will get something sorted.

He also said that he feels stronger and sharper, and now's the time to judge him.
