Dunfermline V Livingston

Written by Dov
Saturday, 19th November 2005
Livingston take on the Pars today at East End Park, the Lions faithful will be looking for another decent performance, and hopefully the first win of the season.

Livingston take on Dumbfermline today, hoping to shove it right into the ugly ones from the other side of the bridge. Jim Leishman has been spotted in the filthy town centre, reportedly “quaking in his boots” at the thought of Livingston’s arrival. The Dumbfermline gaffer said “I’ll greet if we get beat” before babbling on, trying to be a poet, concentrate on Football ya big hairy diddy.

The Lions have no injury worries for today, and Livi manager Paul Lambert has yet again refused to name himself in the squad, claiming that there is better players than himself in the midfield.

The Pars(e) have several injury worries, but who cares!

History of the Dunfermline Athletic v Livingston fixture

Livingston face a trip to Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park on Saturday afternoon, needing to turn around their fortunes at the ground. The Livi will be hoping to improve upon a record which has seen them lose 12 and win only 2 of the 19 games.

The most recent encounter between these two sides was less than a year ago, in December 2004, when they played out a goalless draw in a Scottish Premier match.

Recent respective form guides

Dunfermline Athletic's home form is poor, winning just 2 of the last six, and losing the other 4. While Pars have scored 6, a worringly large 9 have been leaked at the other end.

Livingston's away form is none too clever either, seeing them win just 1 and draw 2 of the last six. Livi have conceded 8 goals in these games, and only hit 3 in reply.

Dunfermline A. are hovering perilously just above the relegation zone, with 5 points from 14 matches. Livingston find themselves stuck right at the bottom of the division. Their 14 games have yielded only 5 points.
