Fancy a flutter on the fitba'?

A flat-nosed cat, betting
Morning all(or more likely, none) - back in business last week with some cracking results bringing in over 100% of profit, with Aberdeen the only loser and Berwick the highlight coming in at odds of 4.20

Apologies for the lack of reasoning this week, but its late and im getting cranky, so it was either that or a string of swear words.

So to this weekend's picks:

-------

CARDIFF Away v West Ham @ 5.00 with Stan James

Absolutely cracking odds on the Welsh side here. West Ham's leaky defence has shipped an average of 2 goals a game recently, while Cardiff have notched up three wins from their last four to pull themselves clear of relegation. This same matchup ended with a 4-1 success for Cardiff, and while West Ham are no mugs at home, there's good value in the Cardiff bet.

-------

KILMARNOCK Away v Hearts @ 5.00 with Paddy Power/Various

Not favourites by any means, and Tynecastle is certainly not a happy hunting ground for Killie, but they have every chance here. Hearts' 2hr marathon v Motherwell on Tuesday was the third consecutive midweek game for the Edinburgh side, and if they are suffering any emotional or physical effects from that, they could well struggle. Killie, looking set for another season of mid table mediocrity, will be looking for a good cup run to characterise their season. Good value here in my eyes.

-------

Bradford v Tranmere OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 1.85 with Betfair

Two teams who don't seem to have too many problems scoring, or conceding, on a regular basis. The last meeting between the two ended up with a 5:4 win for Tranmere, and this game should once more see plenty of goals as long as top scorers windass and Hume play for their respective clubs.

-------

2 UNIT SINGLE

NORTHAMPTON Home v Cambridge @ 1.55 with Victor Chandler

This should be a banker here. While Northampton haven't been on fire, Cambridge are without a win in 12 games, and are yet to win in 15 attempts away from home. Northampton are a decent home side, and should have no problems dealing with Cambridge here.

-------

5 UNIT TREBLE

MAN UTD Home v Birmingham @ 1.30 with Gamebookers
CHELSEA Home v Man City @ 1.27 with Gamebookers
GRETNA Home v Elgin @ 1.10 with Gamebookers

Not much needing said here...all should win hansomely. Man Utd confirmed recent form with a good win v Arsenal, and dont seem to be struggling too much without Van Nistelrooy up front.

Chelsea continue their unbelievable defensive form, only conceding 2 goals in their last ten games. The Gallas/Terry partnership has conceded virtually no goals this season, and if they keep a clean sheet, Man Cityare unlikely to be able to do the same.

As for Gretna, one look at their Xmas signings shows a team intent on promotion, and they will be looking to bounce back from their disappointment v Peterhead. Big home win for me here. Take them on the handicap for better odds if you can.

-------

Burnley v Leeds UNDER 2.5 GOALS @ 1.64 with Betfair
Wigan v Stoke UNDER 2.5 GOALS @ 1.71 with Betfair

Stoke always seem to go under. Period. Their last ten games have seen 9 1:0 scorelines, and one 0:0, and this game last time ended 1:0 to Wigan. Wigan have a decent attack, but not good enough to run riot in my opinion.

Burnley too always seem to end up with under 2.5 at home at Turf Moor, and again I doubt Leeds have the firepower to get three or four here.

FOREIGN TIP OF THE WEEK

MONS Away v Oostende @ 2.5 with Will Hills

Over to Belgium this week, and I think this is an absolutely cracking bet. Mons added about 8 news players over the winter period, and most are tipping them for a cracking second half of the season. Three wins on the bounce including a good recent win over Gent shows good form, and Oostende's 7:3 defeat to Brugge, where they were 6:0 down at one point, gives another pointer to an away win here. Best bet of the week for me.

Later peeps.
