Good Luck Leish

It came to me as a great surprise to see that the godfather of Livi had left to go and rejoin the plastic pitch crew. I had read all about it in a newspaper, but this certain newspaper has a way of making things up, so I never really bothered my earse about it, and I thought no more of the story. I mean, Dunfermline shafted Leishman, they gave him a right good banging, in fact, they took the right p*ss out of the man, and he’s always hurt about it, so why go back after all these years?

The man has obviously got a lot of feelings for the Pars, and Keane done the right thing in allowing Leish to talk to Dunfermline, I have always said that if someone isn’t happy at Livingston, there’s no point in him being here. Maybe the big man is just looking for a new challenge, something different, somewhere closer to home, and good luck to him in his new role.

The club won’t be the same with him, it will feel totally strange without him, he was/is the best PR man you want in your club, but we’ve had our moneys worth out of him and it’s time to move on and upwards. I always remember the Caley party at the Stadium Bar (that’s when you could get in for a pint) and the place was rocking, Leish and all the players were there, partying and singing, and those are memories that will never die for the Livi supporters that were there that night.

He has done the club proud; Leishman, Hunter and Keane have made Livingston what they are at the moment, probably the best success story in British football, and long may it continue. Leish has now moved on, and it’s time for all of us Livi supporters to move on too.

Thanks for the memories – THEY HAVE BEEN VERY SPECIAL

Jim Leishman will be at the match tonight to say a final farewell – Kick off 7:30pm
