Gough in ear-severing shock

Livi manager-in-waiting Richard Gough was last night involved in an emergency dash to St John’s Hospital following the self-removal of his right ear.

Gough, who sometimes travels under the pseudonym Vincent had been involved in high-level talks with Lionheart’s Pearse Flynn regarding a large mural of sunflowers in the club’s reception area. However LiviUltras understands that these talks became somewhat heated when Irishman Flynn insisted Gough incorporated a starry night sky and wicker chair in his design, and perfectionist Gough refused.

Gough then allegedly took his butter knife and hacked off his right ear in protest, throwing it at Flynn in disgust. Fortunately for Pearse, the severed ear got entangled in chairman Tony Kinder’s hair, thus avoiding any potential harm.

Gough’s brother Theo was on hand to drive him to A&E for urgent treatment, and he is currently awaiting placement in St Paul’s asylum in Arles, France under advisement from Dr Peyron.
