Hay gets the Sack

After all the highs last year with Dunfermline finishing third and getting into Europe. This season they lost their best strike partnership of Crawford & Brewster.

The Pars have struggled for goals all season and are the SPL’s lost scores with 28 in 34 games.

The thing I find strange is only yesterday Dunfermline chairman John Yorkston give Davie Hay his full backing and he said Davie would be in charge until the end of the season. 24 hours later Davie and his Coaching staff are sacked.

Dunfermline are now bottom of the SPL after a 2-0 away defeat to Livi. They face a massive game against Dundee next at home that could decide their fate.

Dunfermline Chairman John Yorkston didn’t say much but he did say this "I don't want to say anything further at this stage but he (Hay) is no longer here and it was mutual,"

"It is all a wee bit sudden and it was not just my decision."

Davie Hay Joined the Pars at the start of the season from us. Last Year he and his coaching staff lead Livingston to the CIS cup while still being in Administration.

Coaches Craig Robertson and Hamish French will oversee first-team training at Dunfermline. while the club decide on a management team for the weekend.
