Knox to be Gough's No 2

Following recent fury amongst the Celtic supporting community at the news that former Ibrox legend Richard Gough is to be appointed new Livi manager, today’s dramatic revelation concerning his assistant is likely to raise green tempers even further.

For LiviUltras can now reveal the new Almondvale management team will be a Gough/Knox partnership with the imminent arrival of John Knox to the stadium.

Knox has a wealth of experience from which managerial debutant Gough will benefit, including a stint in
Germany under the tutorage of the great Protestant reformist Calvin, as well as his famous time as manager of St Giles Kirk in Edinburgh. However, it’s Knox’s conversion from Catholicism in 1549 and his formation of the Church of Scotland which is likely to cause the greatest upset amongst the Celtic faithful.

Yet, Knox is relishing the prospect of working with Livi. “No popery” he said last night at a packed press conference in Armadale Masonic Hall. “With Richard, I can see Livi as
Scotland’s number 2 team within a year, brothers” he continued. “I beat that harlot Queen Mary at Langside in 1568, so I know plenty about Hampden too.”

Celtic representative
Alan Henrik Lodestone has already petitioned Pope John Paul II to have Knox excommunicated, however this is likely to be unsuccessful as Knox is already excommunicated.
