Lionheart Management Limited is delighted to announce that it has acquired the majority shareholding in Livingston Football Club from Mr Dominic Keane.

The transfer of shares was confirmed to Lionheart by the administrators, Kroll, today (Friday).

The news means that Livingston should move out of administration well in advance of the end of the current season. Lionheart Management ensured Livingston’s survival in the SPL last summer when it agreed to manage the club under contract while administration continued.

“We are delighted at the news, and delighted particularly for the supporters, the team and all employees at Livingston,” commented Pearse Flynn, leader of the Lionheart consortium.

“We have ambitious long-term plans for the club, but our ability to put these into operation was made impossible by the continued uncertainty since last summer. There is a lot of hard work ahead, but everyone can look forward to the future with a greater sense of security and a genuine excitement about the prospects for Livingston.

“It has been a long hard slog but we were determined to complete acquisition of the club and now we are doing so. I am delighted for everyone involved in Livingston. Our first priority obviously is to do everything we can to ensure Livingston stay in the SPL this season, but whatever happens our feelings now are of great relief and a determination to make sure this club and its supporters and employees have a bright future.”

Lionheart will be discussing the next steps to be taken with the administrator and the football authorities as a matter of priority.
