Lionheart's four-point plan to success.

LETS GET THIS PLACE FULL EVERY WEEKEND
The Lionhearts first plan of action will see the Lions securing our place in the SPL. This job will be left to Allan Preston, and the rest of the management team. Pearse will HAVE to splash cash in January so Preston can continue re-building the Lions. We simply don’t have enough talent in our side, and we do look like a team that could get relegated this season.

The next step would see the Lionheart try to keep our top talent and strenghten the team in January (as above),but more importantly plan now for next year. This to me, shows that Lionheart ARE the right people for the job. They don’t seem to jump right into the deep-end, they are thinking ahead, and that’s what you need to run a successful football club. We desperately need to hold on to some of our class players over the coming seasons, this includes McNamee, O’Brien, Snodgrass, McMenamin and so on. This news should give the players a boost, and the ones under performing now will have to have a hard look at themselves, cos there’ll be some new faces coming in to the team in January.

The third, and MOST important plan of action sees the Lionheart look at how to grow our fan base. People seem to forget that the Lions are still a growing club, but we HAVE lost over 50% of our support since we moved into the SPL, so we could look at getting some of them back. Football is far too expensive at the moment, Kids cannot afford paying £15 to get into watch a Caley V Livi match after they have spent so much getting there in the first place. What the Lionheart need to do, is get all the chairmen of the SPL together, and try and work out a way where supporters can go to the match, and not end up paying £20 to watch shite at the big green library.

The next step on the agenda will see the Lionheart trying to do one thing that is badly missing in the SPL, entertain supporters. We can now go into the Almondvale suite before the match, something that Keane and his Hitler like staff (you reading this Ross?) would never let you do, to them the supporters were scum (and in Ross’s mind, we still are). Entertainment off the field a step in the right direction, but it’s on the park that matters. We’re not going to kid on and say we’re going to match the Old Firm, but lets build a football team that can beat anyone on their day, get into Europe again, and win more cups.

Lets not turn into another Airdrie or a St Johnstone, if we manage to secure our place in the SPL this year, keep our talent, grow our fan base, and entertain, then we have a recipe for a fantastic club.

Let the long road to success begin!!
