Livi 1 Hibs 0

lee Makel strike was enough to ensure that the junkies left Almondvale with no points after today’s match. Fernando Pasquinelli was left out of the squad, but David Fernandez made his long awaited league comeback, making sure that the Hiv’s defence never got a minutes peace. Roddy McKenzie was outstanding in goals for the Lions, and to be honest, Livi deserved all three points today. The Lions now move into fifth place in the league after Murderwell’s defeat at Ibrox.

Livingston manager Davie Hay admitted the match had not been much of a spectacle for the fans but described his side's win as a "big, big three points" in their push for a top-six place in the SPL table.

"I'm delighted with the three points, first and foremost," he said. "We've not been doing enough of that at home this season. "It was a hard-fought game and Hibs dominated a lot, territorially, in the second half, without maybe making too many chances. But it was always going to be that type of game.

"Even when Hibs were pushing forward, the effort from the team was first-class and we are delighted to get the three points. "That's the difference between being a top-six team and not, it's a game we might have lost last season. It was a big, big three points for us."

Hay also praised scorer Makel, who is currently in talks with the Almondvale side over an extension to his contract, which runs out in the summer. Hay added: "Anybody watching Lee today would be more than keen on him. Not only this season, but last season as well, he has been our most consistent player and we are still talking to him about a new contract."

This has been taken from a Hibs website, no kidding, 100% true : “Planning a trip to Easter Road in the future? or just suffering from withdrawal symptoms??”

I told you they were all junkies :o)
