Livingston have started this season better than last, by beating Motherwell 1-0 at Almondvale in front of over 5000 spectators. Substitute Derek Lilley headered the ball past the helpless Gordon Marshall after some great work by Joe Pasquinelli on the right hand side. The match, which was spoiled by some terrible refereeing decisions, could have been better, and afterwards Coach Marcello Maximo admitted that the side were poor, but will gel together soon.
