The Irish broadcaster has taken over the coverage of Bank of Scotland Premierleague matches this season. Exactly how many viewers have signed up for its package is unknown but Lovell and the rest of his teammates are not.
And he revealed he did not know anyone else that had either, which was a pity for the midfielder as he wanted to view the footage to pinpoint where his side were going wrong, starting with the latest setback, a shocking 2-0 home loss to Kilmarnock.
"One of the frustrating things about Setanta is that only the lucky few can record the games and watch them on video," said Lovell. "I would like to see the goals again as I felt we made it very easy for Kilmarnock.
"Playing under Alex McLeish for three years at Hibs it was drummed into me that any goal conceded in any game, regardless of what the result was, could have been avoided. And because we are leaking some pretty cheap goals I would like to see them again.
"What we used to do was get them off the BBC but, with all due respect to Setanta, I don’t actually know anyone who has a subscription. We could do with someone, anyone, who has it to write in."
