Maximo positive about his side

Livingston boss Marcio Maximo believes the feel-good factor has returned to Almondvale following last year's poor showing.

The Brazilian was brought to the club to end a downward spiral that set in following their third place finish in 2002 and he believes his players are finally getting their confidence back.

After earning four points from their opening two matches, Maximo can see a lot to be positive about but is urging fans to be patient as he tries to build a team for the future.

He said: "We are still trying to build a team here, like everyone we are trying to improve the squad and improve the way we play, but it takes time to get things the way you want them.

"Saying that, I'm happy with the way we've played so far this season and the Motherwell match tested the players psychologically more than tactically because they had to show a lot of battling qualities.

"I think you can see that my players are more together as a group now and they have put the disappointment of last season behind them.

"Everyone at Livingston is now looking to the future.''
