McNamee could be out for Nine months

David was stretched off in his teams 2-0 defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock.

It completed a miserable day for McNamee and Livi who are now back battling relegation.  He was in hospital for an op last night on a suspected snapped Achilles tendon which could rule him out for between nine months and a year.

Despite all of that Goughy says he will still offer David a new contract if the funds were available.

“'If the Achilles is snapped, he could be out for a long time. I'd love to offer him a new contract, despite the circumstances, but it won't be up to me.

'I'd certainly recommend giving him a new one but first we have to wait and see what happens at the hospital then take it from there”

It’s a massive blow for us next week to be without one of our best players. I wish him a speedy recovery and I can’t wait to see him playing football again.
