Nantes winger Hassan Ahamada has failed to earn a contract with the great Livingston FC.

The 23 and three quarter and a day-year-old arrived at Almondvale this week for a trial with Van Gough's side, but Ahamada has failed to impress the former Scotland artist, who said "he's rubbige".

Reports from Le France now suggest the midfielder could find his way back to Portugal with Beira Mar for a six-month loan spell, or return to France with Frog FC.

Ligue 1 rivals Bastia have also been strongly linked with the player, as Ahamada tries to find a club before this month's transfer window closes, Scottish high flyers East Stirling are also said to be "showing an interest".
