Preston - "News a boost for Sunday"

Livi Boss Allan Preston believes the club's imminent exit from administration can act as a massive boost for his players ahead of the Bank of Scotland Premier League visit of Rangers on Sunday.

The SPL board have agreed in principle to a proposal transferring ownership of the club to Lionheart Management Ltd, which will enable a final exit from administration - possibly before the end of this month.

Lionheart owner, Pearse Flynn, and Livi chief executive Vivien Kyles have already informed the players of the good news.

Now Preston is looking for a good reaction from his players when Livi play the in-form Ibrox side.

He said: "At the end of the month, Lionheart will take over and that's a weight off everyone's shoulders at the club - the players, the coaching staff, the caterers. Everyone.

"All credit to Vivien Kyles and Pearse Flynn, they've worked tirelessly since they came in on June 4.

"It's been a difficult six months and there was always going to be some doubt about the club's and the players' future until it was done and dusted.

"We've seen people lose their jobs at the club in recent months and you wouldn't wish that on anyone

"So the news is a great boost for us all and I hope the players go into the game against Rangers now with renewed confidence and enthusiasm.

"We will need it because they are the form side at the moment."
