Snoddy boosts Livi

Livi striker Robert Snodgrass has signed a new three-and-a half-year contract with the club.

The 17-year-old has now committed himself to Livi until May 2008 after making his SPL debut a couple of months ago against Hearts.

The teenager then scored an excellent goal in the 2-0 win over Dunfermline last month to earn further plaudits.

Now Livi manager Allan Preston is hoping Snodgrass can fulfil the potential he has already displayed.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: "We are delighted to have tied Robert up. He is a young prospect and what we've done is signed potential. He is not an established first-team player, but he has plenty of ability and we're very glad to have him here."

Preston will now turn his attentions to re-signing defender David McNamee and midfielder Burton O'Brien on new deals.
