The weeks footie forcast

Please note, www.liviultras.com is not responsible for any money you piss down the pan.
Last week was poor, showing a loss for the first time, with Morton, Montrose
and Hull's loss of a last minute leveller the big disappointments.

So to this week, and its back to some of my old favourites...

HIBS Away v Motherwell @ 2.50 with BlueSq - On a cracking run, and they have
every chance of continuing that at Motherwell. I know they aren't light
years ahead of the SPL pack in terms of ability like the Old Firm, but the
difference is they are so much more clinical than any of their rivals.

Evidence of this was shown last week against Killie, when neither team was
that much better than the other, yet Hibs still won by three Derek Riordan
goals, while Kris Boyd squandered a number of good Killie chances.

Since Motherwell's good run, they have been a bit inconsistent, and havent
been scoring too freely. Hibs have notched 2 wins v Motherwell already this
season, and are in the process of tying up their winning team on longer
contracts. I can see a similar game as last week, with lots of huffing and
puffing settled by Hibs being the team that converts their chances. In the
mood, with few injury concerns means there is surely value @

3 UNIT DOUBLE

Two very different sides in the double this week...

PARTICK Home v Raith Rovers @ 1.55 with Interwetten - Under Dick Campbell
Partick are a new side, confirmed with a confident win over a solid QOS side
two weeks ago, and by running Hearts close in the Cup. Raith on the other
hand are preparing for life in division 2, and have their problems both on
and off the pitch. They did beat an incosistent St Mirren recently, but this
week they have lost Darren Brady(to Partick), Hamed Sacko, Paquito, and
keeper Pounoussamy. The significant losses of Brady and Paquito to an
already poor side should be too much for the Fifers.

GRETNA Home v East Fife @ 1.20 - Ladbrokes - Having signed Stevie Tosh from
Aberdeen, and mentioned to be close to signing Davie Graham from Stranraer.
Having dropped points to Queens Park and Peterhead in recent weeks they will
be in no mood to let many more slip. They and Peterhead continue to be two
classes above the rest, and East Fife shouldnt cause them too many problems.
The Fifers had threatened an impressive run, but a lack of potency up front
in recent weeks has put paid to that, and even if they aim for a 0-0 draw
here by parking the team bus infront of their goal, the rampant Gretna
frontline should have little problems making an early breakthrough.Make sure
to get the 1.2 at Ladbrokes though...1.14 is a little short.

BERWICK Away v Forfar @ 4.20 with BetDirect - There isn't much between the
form of Forfar and Berwick, although Forfar fared far better last weekend.
Still, Berwick have added a handful of new players, mostly youngsters, and I
cant see this as anything more than a 50/50 game. In that respect, a
speculative bet at about 3/1 shows cracking value.

ABERDEEN Away v Hearts @ 3.60 with Bet365 - Hearts aren't up to their former
selves right now, and looked a bit jaded on Tuesday night v Livingston after
a hectic schedule. Hartley has been their best player this season by a
distance this season, but I cant see how his head will be 100% in the
game(if he plays) with his beloved Celtic knocking at the door. This all
rests heavily on Aberdeen refinding their scoring touch tho. Their defence
is usually solid enough(save for the odd Ryan Esson blunder) but I would
back Aberdeen to kickstart a push to compete for third place after a shaky
festive period.

Walsall v Huddersfield - OVER 2.5 GOALS @ 1.85 with Ladbrokes - A couple of
evenly matched teams in League One, and both are having no problems scoring
or conceding just now. Walsall shipped 5 away at Colchester last time out,
while Huddesfield's last two games have involved 11 goals. Pawel Abbot seems
full of goals for the away side here, and I think goals goals goals will be
the order of the day.

2 UNIT DOUBLE

SWANSEA Home v Chester @ 1.62 with Ladbrokes
ROCHDALE Home v Rushden @ 1.80 with BlueSq

Two decent League Two sides for a double here. Rushden's away form is
terrible, and although Rochdale seem to be able to do nothing but draw
recently, I fancy a return to winning ways here. I'm also taking Swansea,
who rarely have problems finding the net, against a Chester side who havent
managed a goal in three games.

T-T-T-T-T-T-Thats all folks. All verbal, physical and sexual abuse to the
usual place.
