Johnny Foreigner came up trumps two weeks ago returning a 25% profit, mainly down to the Sweden pick. So to this week, and we're back with the beer guts and shoogly joints of lower league Scotland.

----------------------------------

GRETNA Home v Stenhousemuir @ 1.20 with various

3pt Single

True, Gretna only need 1 point to win the league which Peterhead have already given up, which explains the slightly increased odds, but a gulf in class is a gulf in class.

Rowan Alexander has spoken of his determination to win today, and that will be aided by injury problems for Stenny, particularly in defence. The rampant Gretna attack, with players like Deuchar and Bingham, should take full advantage. A title party on the border looms.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Lay PETERHEAD Home v Queens Park @ 1.50 to win 2 pts(liability .5pts) @ betfair

This has all the characteristics of a perfect lay. Peterhead have conceded the title and will experiment with their youth players tomorrow. Add to this a winless streak of four, and it begins to look even more tempting.

Queens have shown to be the team who can mix it with the big two in Div 3, having taken 2 points from Peterhead and 4 from Gretna so far this season, and look in good shape to return to Glasgow with atleast a point.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

STRASBOURG Home v Marseille @ 2.88 with Ladbrokes

Its not often I look to the French league due to the high percentage of draws and low number of goals, but this one looks good value this week.

I've heard good things about Strasbourg's 2:0 win over Bordeaux last weekend, and while they have had goalscoring problems of late, thier home form has been consistent.

The loss of Dehu in an inconsistent away Marseille team will pose problems, especially with the return of Pagis and Johansen to get amongst the goals for Strasbourg.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UDINESE Home v Roma @ 1.80 with

The value here lies in the home side because of Roma's huge injury troubles.
De Rossi, Totti, Perrotta, Panucci and Tomassi are all out, with Dellas and Cassano doubtful.

Add to that Roma's terrible away form(3 consecutive defeats scoring no goals) and Udinese's continued solid home showings( and a 3:0 away win in Rome earlier this season) and the home win looks fantastic.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MAN UTD Away v Norwich @ 1.45 with Interwetten

Stats are simple here...Ferguson will change Man U team after stalemate v Blackburn, and so players will have something to prove. Drawing on reserves like Saha doesn't weaken team too much.

Norwich are the worst home team in the league, but the important stat is how they struggle v the best sides, having lost at home v Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea. Time to complete the set of the top five methinks.
