Both Livi and Hibs named a lot of youths in their sides.A bit of experience in both side but mainly young boys like Gary Miller, Chris Mitchell, Allan Walker and Scott Boyd.
Hibs looked the better side for the majority of the first half. Samuel Morrow forced a good save from Colin Meldrum when he shot low and hard from the edge of the box with only four minutes played.
Young Mcculskey had a good shot go just over from the edge of the box again. A scramble in the Livi box eventually hit Colin Meldrum and he was able to catch the ball.
It was clear at this stage that Livi were struggling to get to grips with Hibs. Ivan Sproule had a very god game. He has got good pace and gave Livi left back Chris Mitchell a torrid time.
In the 17th minute a impressive Sproule whipped a cross which hit Konte and went just wide.
Livi nearly scored a brilliant goal. The ball was bobbling in the air about twenty yards from goal. Ferenc Horvath caught it on the volley and it went just over with Hibs keeper Alistair Brown beaten.
Livi started to create some chances at this stage. Snoddy had a deflected shot go just wide. From the resulting corner a scramble in the six yard box nearly allows Allan Walker to score.
However in the 32nd minute Livi should have been 1-0 up. After neat play involving Horvath, Walker and Riche Brittain. Kriston had the chance to run up to the edge of the box. He had the goal to aim at but somehow he pulled his shot embarrassing wide
Kriston had an awful night always given the ball away and never really putting any good balls into the box.
10 minutes before half time Hibs were unlucky not to score. Morrow headed a corner off the crossbar.
Second half Livi started better with just a minute gone Snoddy skinned to hibs players at the by-line and then drove into the middle of the box. He skinned Chris Hogg before firing a shot which was well blocked by Antonio Murray.
8 minutes later neat play from Livi resulted in a Snoddy cross which Horvath just couldn’t reach. A minute later
But Livi payed for those missed chances when Konte headed a Murray Cross into the back of net in the 55th minute.
The impressive Sproule missed a good chance when he was put through on goal. Sproule also forced Meldrum into a great save down low to his left.
Hibs Sub Pow had a decent shot go just over after 77 minutes. Livi forced a free kick twenty five yards from goal. Greg Strong stood over it and hit a left shot which was well caught by Brown.
A under par performance from us. Snoddy was not himself, Horvath didn’t look bothered and Kriston was by far the worst player on the park.
