Quickfire Cowdenbeath denied by Livi leveller

Cowdenbeath failed to hold out for victory after Marc McKenzie's first-minute goal against Livingston, who battled back to claim a 1-1 draw.

McKenzie handed the hosts a rapid lead after just 49 seconds as he converted left-footed from close range.

Chances were few and far between during an encounter in which wayward efforts from distance dominated proceedings.

But Stefan Scougall levelled for Livingston in the 70th minute when he converted from Anthony Andreu's header.

Scougall fired wide from six yards before Thomas O'Brien hit the crossbar for Cowdenbeath from long-range as both sides pressed for a winner.

The point leaves Livingston fourth in the First Division, with one defeat in their last nine league games, while Cowdenbeath have now not won in their previous 11.
