A fantastic performance from the lions as they out played third spot Hibs for the whole game and give their relegation problems a boost.

Richard Gough made one change from the Celtic game. Out went Oscar Rubio and in came Colin McMenamin. Richard decided to make a 4-3-3 formation when attacking and a 4-5-1 formation when defending.

Livi started positive With Kachloul curling an 20 yard shot just wide. Jason Dair tried his luck from twenty five yards out but his shot was straight at Hibs keeper Simon Brown.

It was clear that Hibs were struggling to get to grips with Livi. But Steven Whittaker give some hope to a quiet Hibs Crowd when he curled a shot over after a neat one-two with Fletcher. Riordan had a chance as well but his low shot didn’t trouble LLSC player of the year McKenzie. That was all anybody seen of Riordan as McNamee kept him quiet all afternoon.

Livi had the best Chance of the half When Lilley played in McMenamin but his shot was blocked by the feet of Brown.

Second half began with the Noisy Livi away support right behind their team and they didn’t have long to wait to cheer something. Neat play From Captain Burton O’Brien
as he nut-megged Whittaker and played the ball across to Lilley who’s weak shot didn’t seem to be any trouble to Brown until Kachloul provided Confusion to allow the ball to roll over the line.

Kachloul then tried a checky 50 yard shot which was dealt with nervously by Simon Brown.

It didn’t take Kachloul much longer to get on the score sheet. A Burton O’Brien Corner which was volleyed ten yards out by Kackloul Forced Brown into touching but he couldn’t stop the ball going over the line.

Hibs through on Morrow and Konte to try and rescue them. Konte had a shot saved by Mckenzie.

Gary Caldwell had a header go over from six yards out. But in truth Hibs didn’t deserve a goal

Colin McMenamin burst through on goal but the angle didn’t favour him and Brown again denied the Livi striker.

Livi Wrapped up a great performance when sub McPake took the ball into the corner and blasted the ball against Murphy. The ball broke to Lilley and everyone thought he would put it into the middle but he played it to the back post where O’Brien ran in unmarked to score his seventh Goal of the season. The moment the ball hit the back of the net Easter Road empted.

As the Full time whistle went the really Noisy Livi away support were chanted “We are staying up” and with performances like that then we should.

Richard Gough was really satisfied with his team performance he said “I don't think there will be many teams this season who come to Easter Road and pass Hibs off the park.

"I was pleased to get the result, especially before the split. We have five cup finals coming up now.

"If we play as well as that every week, then we will have a good chance of staying up."
