Livingston 0-3 Falkirk- Match Report

Roberts runs riot for Bairns

Phillip Roberts scored a perfect hat-trick to secure a 3-0 win for Falkirk at Livingston to keep the visitors second in the Scottish Championship.

The Bairns fans thought they had a penalty on the hour-mark when Roberts burst into the box and went down but moments later the former Arsenal youth player sent his team ahead.

Rory Loy did well to create the chance and Roberts was on hand to sweep his cut back beyond Darren Jamieson to open the scoring.

Falkirk's lead was doubled in impressive style just before the break when Roberts slammed the ball beyond Jamieson after outpacing Callum Fordyce and the visitors had a commanding lead at half-time.

A fantastic afternoon for Roberts was complete 10 minutes after the interval when the striker headed Loy's cross home to complete a perfect hat-trick and put Falkirk three up.
