A mis-hit Paul Sheerin cross handed Aberdeen all three points as they fought back from going a goal down to beat Livingston.

Finding space wide on the left on 31 minutes Sheerin looked up and flighted in a left-foot cross which eluded everybody, including Livy keeper Alan Main, to land in the top corner.

Livingston had taken the lead in the second minute when Juan Jose Camacho swung in a corner from the left for skipper Stuart Lovell to power a header past the helpless Peter Kjaer in the Aberdeen goal.

The Dons were back on level terms on 29 minutes, Derek Young netting with a close-range header from Chris Clark's corner.

After taking the lead Aberdeen threatened to extend their advantage and only two superb saves from Main prevented the visitors from running away with the game.

Three minutes after the interval he managed to block Phil McGuire's header from point blank range before on 64 minutes tipping a 25-yard drive from Tosh over the bar.

Having survived Aberdeen's pressure Livingston could so easily have salvaged a point Kjaer twice denied substitute Rolando Zarate while Barry Wilson blasted over with only the Dons shotstopper to beat.

Ten minutes from time Lovell enjoyed another glorious chance for the home side but, after exchanging passes with David Xausa, shot straight at Kjaer with the goal at his mercy.
