Ross County put up a good show against a lacklustre Livingston side in the first game of their mini highland tour.
It only took County 75 seconds to take advantage of a lapse of concentration in the Livi defence to score the opener. Livi trialist goalkeeper Roddy McKenzie was left bemused as a 25 yard effort from Jordan Tait bobbled past him into the net.
The Lions failed to respond to the early setback as the home side became stronger as the game wore on. Ross County had a few ex-Dundee United players on show and one of them came close to making it 2-0. David Winters failed to convert a cross but just missed the target.
Livi's first real chance came in 17 minutes when Cherif came close then Pasquinelli had the ball snatched from his feet by the new County 'keeper, Colin Stewart. Livi finished the half strong as Cherif struck the post and Derek Lilley knocked in the rebound but was judged to be offside.
Maximo made two changes at half time as in his words "the team was too narrow". Javier Capalleti and Barry Wislon replaced McNamee and Cherif. This seemed to do the trick as Livi had their best spell but then were caught on the break as they pressed for an equaliser. Mckenzie couldn't prevent Winter's long range effort going in off the post.
The Lions looked to have lost the game when a Derek Lilley cross was headed back towards his own goal by Steven Mackay with too much power and found it's way into the net. As Livi piled on the pressure, the equalising goal came when a mistake in the County defence allowed Pasquinelli to nip in and score.
