Fund raising has started already which may be used to invest in the trust or donated to the football club if that proves to be the best course of action to help the club in the short term.

The trust will be set up with a primary aim of strengthening the link between the community and the club. This will be the medium to long term aim of the trust.

There was an open meeting for all Livingston fans on February 15th at 2pm in the Almondvale suite at Livingston Football club. The meeting explained how a trust is set up, how it is managed and how it protects supporters contributions into the trust fund. The trust will be a non-profit making organisation and ensures all funds are only invested in the football club for the benefit of its supporters and the community.

Guest speakers at the meeting included James Proctor, a representative from Supporters Direct, which is a government backed body that assists fans in setting up their trusts, Kay Robertson, Supporters Liaison at LFC and Willie Dunne from West Lothian Council who discussed the implications of the lease for the club.

Over 150 Livingston fans who want to assist in saving the future of our club volunteered to take part in what could be a pivotal moment in the history of Livingston Football Club. If you care about the future of the club and its association with the community then please communicate this message.
